Overview of the tour in Madrid

Our meeting point will be the Plaza de la Luna, next to the door of the San Martin de Tours Church, from there we will stroll towards the Malasaña neighborhood, still an icon of the Movida Madrileña and the urban tribes of the time. Even today we can find some places that were the musical temples of the time, such as the Sala Maravilla, El Penta, or El Tupperware.

We will reach the heart of Malasaña, the Plaza del Dos de Mayo, but first, we will show you some small wonders of Madrid, such as the church of San Antonio de Los Alemanes, the Lara Theater, and the Alfil Theater.

We will continue our journey towards the Plaza de Chueca. If Malasaña was the epicenter of the Movida, Chueca is the epicenter of the LGTB movement. This neighborhood has become one of the most visited areas of Madrid with a huge activity between shops, bars, and cultural offers. Its square is always full of neighbors and tourists who like to enjoy its terraces. Chueca is undoubtedly a trendy neighborhood.

We will finish our route contemplating the House of the Seven Chimneys that holds an old legend since the 16th century. Do you want us to tell you about it?

This activity includes:

  • Plaza del Dos de Mayo
  • Church of Saint Anthony of the German
  • Plaza de Chueca
  • Church of Saint Martin of Tours
  • Plaza de la Luna
  • Teatro Lara
  • Teatro Alfil
  • Recorrido por el centro histórico de la localidad.
  • Guía acreditado
  • Seguro de responsabilidad civil.

Things to note

The crisis caused by the coronavirus has forced all businesses to transform their products and services in order to offer the highest levels of safety, responsibility, and quality to their customers.

Therefore, in accordance with state and regional regulations, from Arkeo Tour® we have implemented 6 essential and mandatory measures in all our activities:

1) Our guided tours are carried out only with small groups (maximum 30 people including the guide). In this way, we achieve a better organization and management of the group and a separation of at least 2 meters between each person.

2) Our itineraries have been designed to avoid possible crowds and escape from confined spaces. In addition, they are one-way tours to avoid crossing with other groups. Our guides coordinate live to share information on less crowded itineraries.

3) All of our guides have been trained in health risk prevention and the fight against coronavirus. The person in charge of the guides and the person in charge of customer service make up the Arkeo Tour® risk management committee and carry out daily monitoring of the safety measures.

4) In all our guided tours we use voice transmission and amplification equipment. In this way, we guarantee the highest quality in the guide's explanations and we can maintain a safe distance between group members.

5) Our team uses approved masks in all our activities and is carried out in daily control of the temperature of each of the guides. Likewise, we will have hydroalcoholic gel for the use of all our users.

6) We have digitized the entire reservation service, thus avoiding the transfer of documents between people. The reservation confirmation can be downloaded from any mobile phone to show the guide at the beginning of the visit. The sending of brochures and information is now also done completely telematically.
