Tour After the Footsteps of the Jewish Quarter + the Inquisition
Overview of the tour in Madrid
The history of the Jews is that of a religious minority whose presence in Madrid was hidden and silenced for centuries for the sake of the policy of religious homogenization carried out during the 16th-17th centuries by the Hispanic Monarchy. But the Sephardim were a reality and in recent years archaeological tastings have been carried out that have helped to define where their homes were more or less located in the city. A mystery that we will solve in the first part of this visit, while the second will explain the history of this repression, not without torture and various physical punishment, which was carried out by the Inquisition. Get closer to one of the darkest chapters in our history!
