Discover the authentic flavors of Tunisia through a hands-on cooking experience combining a traditional market visit, cooking class, and shared Tunisian meal.
Duration: Approximately 5–6 hours
1. Welcome & Introduction – 15 min
Meet at the agreed meeting point, get introduced, and discover the menu and the basics of Tunisian cuisine.
2. Traditional Market Visit – 45–60 min
Explore a local market and shop together for fresh vegetables, herbs, spices, olive oil, meat, and other ingredients. Learn how Tunisian families choose their daily products and discover local food traditions.
3. Hands-on Cooking Class – 2.5–3 hours
Prepare a traditional Tunisian feast from scratch, including meatball soup, Brik, Salade Méchouia, and Couscous with meat and seasonal vegetables. No previous cooking experience is required.
4. Traditional Tunisian Lunch – 1 hour
Sit together and enjoy the meal we prepared, accompanied by carefully selected Tunisian wine, while sharing stories about Tunisian culture and daily life.
5. Dessert & Farewell – 30 min
Finish with traditional Makroudh, mint tea or coffee. You’ll also receive the recipes to recreate these Tunisian dishes at home.
