Overview

Step into the heart of Puglia and discover the secrets behind one of Italy’s most iconic cheeses during an authentic mozzarella-making experience at a traditional farmhouse near Ostuni.

Set in a historic masseria surrounded by the gentle landscapes of the Itria Valley, this farm-to-table experience offers a unique insight into rural Apulian life. You’ll follow the journey of fresh milk as it transforms into soft, creamy mozzarella, guided by expert local cheesemakers who explain each step through live demonstrations.

Even if you don’t actively participate in the process, you’ll enjoy a close-up view of the entire mozzarella production, from curdling and stretching to shaping. This experience is both educational and engaging, perfect for travelers curious about Italian food traditions.

As you explore the farmhouse, barns, and production areas, you’ll hear stories about local traditions, rural heritage, and the deep connection between Apulian communities and their land.

The experience concludes with a generous tasting of fresh dairy products and regional specialties, paired with wine, allowing you to truly savor the flavors of Puglia.
