I will meet you at the north entrance of Daguan Zhuanxin Farmers’ Market, holding a bright yellow umbrella. I am a woman in my 40s with short hair, but the market can be very crowded, so the yellow umbrella will be easier to spot than me.

Please come with an open mind and an empty stomach. Zhuanxin Market is a lively local market, so it can be crowded, noisy, and full of strong food smells. Some areas sell raw meat, seafood, and local specialties that may feel unfamiliar to visitors. If you are vegetarian, vegan, have food allergies, or cannot eat spicy food, please let me know in advance. Food expenses are at your own cost, usually around 50–80 RMB per person, depending on what you would like to try. and the tasting route may change depending on the season and stall availability.
