Dhampus Sarangkot is short hiking trek around Pokhara valley. Sarangkot is just above Pokhara city and is famous for viewing magnificent views of the Himalayas. Pokhara is a phenomenal place of natural beauty on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal, situated at an altitude of 900 m from the sea level and 200 km west of Kathmandu valley. Sarangkot hill is famous for sunrise/sunset view/Mountain View. At an elevation of 1590 m ,Sarangkot is perched on a high ridge to the northwest of Pokhara and has panoramic mountain views from Dhaulagiri and across the Annapurnas to Manaslu, as well as south over the Pokhara valley.
Dhampus is the beautiful village settled by Gurung community. It is the gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Dhampus Sarangkot trek is an ideal trek for first time visitor who are not experienced trekkers and for the travellers who have limited time to experience the trekking of Nepal. From Dhampus and Sarangkot, you can see high peaks of Annapurna mountains range and diverse landscape with varied culture and tradition.
