Flights from Kathmandu to Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport (the gateway to the Everest region) serve as the starting point for the journey, then walk up to Kala Patthar and Everest base camp. The route passes through the Dudh Koshi River valley. On the way, everywhere you turn, snow-capped mountains rise magnificently against a brilliant blue sky.
You will get the opportunity to climb Kala Patthar throughout the walk, where you will reach a height of 5,545m and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Everest. Enjoy the joyous villages of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche, and go through other notable Sherpa villages hidden in the Himalayan shadows.
