Valencia Free Tour: The Most Particular Places
Overview
Our tour begins at the iconic Serranos Tower, where you’ll uncover the rich history of the city’s most important gate. From there, we’ll stroll through the vibrant Carmen neighbourhood, admiring its stunning street art until we reach the Valldigna Portal. This historic landmark once separated the Christian and Arab quarters, and here, we’ll dive into the fascinating story of the Arab influence in Spain, particularly in Valencia.
Next, we’ll explore the beautiful Plaza de la Virgen, my favourite square of the city.
We’ll continue to the Central Market, where you’ll not only immerse yourself in Valencia’s culinary traditions but also receive recommendations for local dishes and drinks to try. We’ll suggest some of the best restaurants and hidden gems where you can savour authentic Valencian flavours (the tour will take place almost entirely in the shade).
Our journey concludes at Ayuntamiento Square, where you’ll uncover intriguing legends that add to the city’s charm.
By the end of the tour, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of Valencia’s history, culture, and secrets.

The meeting point is at the beginning of the Serranos Towers Bridge, in Plaza de la Crida.

Things to note
Try to come on foot or by public transport, parking in the center is not easy.
Everything is seen from the outside.
Try to be 10 minutes before starting the tour to be able to start on time.
If you bring a car, leave it at the hotel because parking in Valencia is difficult.
If not, leave it in the parking lot of Glorieta-Paz, Carmelitas, or One Park.
