Overview
We begin our visit in the lively Plaza del Mercado, where you can breathe the daily life of Valencia and access the famous Central Market, full of colors and aromas. From here, we head to the majestic Lonja de la Seda, a symbol of medieval commercial wealth and a World Heritage Site.
We continue to the Church of St. Nicholas of Bari and St. Peter Martyr, admiring its baroque frescoes that make it known as the Valencian Sistine Chapel. Then we arrive at the imposing Serrano Towers, ancient gates that give us a unique panoramic view of the city.
We continue to the elegant Palau de la Generalitat, seat of the Valencian Government, and then stroll through the emblematic Plaza de la Virgen, surrounded by historical monuments. In the Plaza de la Almoina, we discover Roman vestiges that tell us about the origins of Valencia.
We head to the Plaza de la Reina, where the imposing Cathedral awaits us, with its mixture of styles and the Holy Chalice. Later, we visit the church of Santa Catalina with its unique baroque bell tower and end at the splendid Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas, which houses a fascinating museum.
