- We’ll meet in front of the Central Market, one of Europe’s largest culinary meccas. Here, you’ll learn about the market’s history, its Modernist architecture, and the importance of fresh produce in Valencian cuisine.
- We’ll visit select stalls selling cured meats, cheeses, fish, and local specialties. We’ll explain how the ingredients for paella and other traditional recipes are chosen.
- We’ll head to a local horchatería or chocolatería to sample artisanal horchata with fartons. We’ll explain the origin of tiger nuts, how they’re grown in the Huerta, and why this product is so iconic in Valencia.
- We stroll through streets steeped in history while discovering culinary curiosities: old ovens, medieval recipes, festive traditions, and local anecdotes that connect gastronomy with Valencian culture.
- We’ll stop at a selected spot to enjoy a tasting of a typical tapa.
- End of the tour – Plaza de la Virgen
