Discover Split on a Free Walking Tour
Overview
Wander past soaring columns, sphinxes brought from Egypt, and the majestic Peristyle, where costumed guards still salute like it’s the 4th century. But this isn't just a relic of the past, it's a heartbeat of the present. Within these ancient walls, locals sip coffee in sun-drenched courtyards, musicians fill the squares with Dalmatian song, and fresh lavender scents drift from bustling open-air markets.
This tour is more than a walk, it's an immersion into the soul of Split, where Roman history and modern life dance together in a city carved from stone and bathed in Adriatic light.

- Jupiter's Temple

On arrival
To find the red Split sign, head towards the Riva promenade, which stretches along the seafront in Split's Old Town. The sign is prominently displayed in a grassy area, surrounded by palm trees and cafés. It's a favorite spot for photos and a great place to relax while enjoying the view of the harbor.
