Essential Diocletian's Palace & Split Old Town
Overview
But this isn’t just a history lesson, it’s a relaxed, immersive experience where guests get real insights into Split’s past and present. As a guide originally from Bosnia who has lived in Split for years, I offer a broader regional perspective, connecting Split’s history to the wider Balkans.
My small-group tours allow for meaningful conversations, and after the tour, I provide personalized recommendations on what to see next, but also discounts and special offers from some of the very best restaurants in Split. We will also take a group selfie in the beautiful Vestibule, which you can keep as a memory from your tour in Split.
This tour is perfect for travelers who love history and want an informative but laid-back introduction to Split, whether solo, with friends, or as a family.
Looking forward to meeting you!

Our Guides
On arrival
The meeting point is below the big statue of Bishop Gregory of Nin, where the Golden Gate of Diocletian's Palace is (The gate is not really "golden"). Look for a BLACK umbrella with the KUKUVIA logo. If you cannot find me, please send me a message and I will call you.
How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
