Explore the Highlights of the Eternal City

Be ready to discover Rome with an art historian! The tour will cover the entire historical city center, starting from the wonderful neoclassical Piazza del Popolo, a square close to the Pincian Hill and the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo, which houses paintings by the famous and revolutionary "damned" 17th-century artist, Caravaggio. Then we'll see Piazza di Spagna, an elegant Baroque square built during the 17th century, and the Trevi Fountain, the setting of the famous Italian movie La Dolce Vita, also connected with the fascinating story of the Virgo Aqueduct, the only Roman aqueduct still in operation today.

We'll reach the Pantheon, built as a temple during the time of the Roman general Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, which became a church in 609 AD. Close to this spot is Navona Square, with the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the renowned Baroque artist who is often remembered alongside his rival Francesco Borromini, the architect of the church dedicated to St. Agnes.

We'll move to Campo de' Fiori, a square where public executions took place, and to Piazza Venezia, which hosts the Vittoriano, the monument built to celebrate the Unification of Italy.
