Free Tour - Santa Teresa
Overview of the tour in Rio de Janeiro
In the 1960s artists and intellectuals moved here, and it remains the Bohemian heart of Rio, known for its welcoming atmosphere and laid back vibe.
Feeling almost like a small friendly town within the city, Santa Teresa is known for its museums, galleries, architecture, bars and restaurants, and some of the best views in Rio.
Today it’s one of the most popular spots among visitors.
We begin the Tour in Santa Teresa Largo do Guimarães, the gastronomic area of the neighborhood, whose surrounding colonial houses, cobblestone streets and bars make it one of the liveliest spots in Rio.
Rom there, we go to Parque das Ruinas (‘Ruins Park’), where we find the remains of a grand house, previously owned by a renowned socialite who would throw fabulous high society parties here.
Come walk with us and get ready to fall in love with this beautiful neighborhood of the wonderful city.
