Literary journey: The Book & Culture Festival 2023
Overview
During our excursion, we will explore and get to know the tourist attractions of the area. Then, we will dive into the world of the Festival, where we will understand its historical and thematic context, access the program, the yellow basin, the pavilions and the thematic strips.
We will enjoy activities such as the Living Reading Garden and, if conditions permit, we will enter the Bibliocirco. We will also take a walk through the orquideorama and its cultural proposal, explore the publishers' area with its offer of books for all tastes, participate in a special literary activity and enjoy refreshments.
Finally, we will visit the Garden Store and say goodbye at the pedestrian gate at 11:45 a.m. If you would like to have lunch, the area has several gastronomic options and we will be happy to offer you guidance. Join us for this enriching experience!

Our Guides
On arrival
You can arrive by taking Line A of the Medellín subway in the direction of Niquía, getting off at the "Universidad" station, exit the station and you will find yourself at the entrance to Parque Explora. This will be our meeting point.
If you come by metrobus, get off at the "Universidad" station (of the metroplús) and walk to the Explora Park (4 blocks) along the entire Carrera Carabobo in a northerly direction, going towards the Aranjuez neighborhood.
If you take a cab or private vehicle, arrive at Parque Explora in the Carabobo Norte sector (near the Botanical Garden and the University of Antioquia). Address: Carrera 52, No.73-75.
Things to note
- Wear comfortable clothing: hat, sunscreen, tennis shoes, hydration.
- Bring original identification document. For people outside the country: foreigner's identity card or passport.
- Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult. We will be in a place with a high concentration of people.
- All activities will be conducted in Spanish.
- We will provide an experience of approach to the whole concept of the Festival. Each visitor, after finishing the tour, will be able to stay and enjoy even more or come back another day.
- The Book and Culture Festival will take place between September 8 and 17, 2023.
- Each visitor is responsible for their own food and water.
- We are not responsible for items not mentioned here.
