Free Historic Downtown Tour Medellin
Overview
Discover one of the most important cultures in the history of our country: the Paisas. Medellín’s Historic Center is the best living example of who we were and who we are today, a place where history, identity, and transformation come together.
To ensure a smooth and immersive experience, this tour includes professional wireless audio systems that provide clear sound even in busy areas. You’re free to move around, take photos, and follow the guide with ease.
You may also bring your own wired earphones, if preferred.
Important: Not suitable for children under 15 and not water-resistant. In case of rain, devices will be temporarily collected for safety.
We will walk through Medellín’s streets and daily life to understand its history, conflict, and strong social commitment. Guided by local Paisas, you’ll learn how the city transformed a violent past marked by drug trafficking into a more inclusive and resilient future through innovation and social investment.

Right in front of the entrance of the Museo de Antioquia, located in the Plaza de Botero in downtown Medellín.

BRING Runners, Sun Screen, Umbrella, Money, Rain Gear, and Sunglasses.

2) If you decided NOT TO PARTICIPATE anymore, we kindly ask you to “CANCEL MY BOOKING” at the bottom part of the email you received from Freetour.com.
How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
