“Maracaibo ❤️”

I want to thank Free Tour and especially Marcela for her excellent work as a guide in the Comuna 13 of Medellin. Her attention, knowledge and human quality made the tour a unique experience. The history of this place is hard, marked by difficult moments, but today it has become a living museum, full of art, color, resilience and real examples of overcoming. Thanks to Marcela, every mural and every story took on a profound meaning. Long live Maracaibo I recommend this tour 100%. It is a sample of the power of community, memory and transformation.

“We left early”

It took more than an hour before the tour finally started. The historical background given by the guide was very poor. He constantly explained, what he will be explaining shortly, bud never gave important contense. We were waiting for most of the time. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we decided to have a look of the neighbourhood by ourselves. What a waste of time with that guide. There actually was a lot of interesting things to see, he just did not show it to the travelers. What a shame. Lucky us, that we left.

“Nice walk between art and history”

Robin accompanied us on a nice tour through the 13th district telling us the story of the transformation of this place. He is very caring and you can tell that he cares about giving a good experience. During the tour there are several shows that are really cool! I would have liked to know more about the history and his experience during these years, but the tour was great and it is worth going with a guide to get to know commune 13 :)

“Commune 13, not to be missed ”

The guide was very attentive and explained the conflicts that took place in that area. She also guided us to go up to see other areas in the public service baskets. I ate a delicious passion fruit and mango popsicle just before going up the stairs, suggestion of the guide, she also took us to a musical group and to a gallery. Very complete tour.
