The Essence of Guatemala: Walking Tour of the Historic Center with Joana
Overview
We will arrive at the Plaza de la Constitución and the majestic Palacio Nacional de la Cultura, where we will learn about the historical and political events that marked the identity of the country. In addition, we will visit the Galería Punto D Contemporáneo and, if access permits, enjoy an incredible panoramic view from its terrace.
The experience continues at the authentic Central Market, walking through its aisles full of handicrafts, gastronomy, aromas and local traditions. Finally, we will culminate the tour at Flamingo Histórico, a cultural and gastronomic space that combines history, art and flavor in the heart of the city.

Our Guides
On arrival
Arrive 5 minutes before the activity, the meeting point is inside the atrium of the Church of San Francisco, the guide will be located near the wooden door (main door of the church) a reference point is the Royal Palace Hotel (red building), in front of it on the opposite corner is the church.
Things to note
Tour recommendations
1. Use sunscreen.
2. Wear a hat or cap to protect you from the sun/rain in season (May-October).
3. Cash in local currency (Quetzales) if you want to make a purchase, in the central market some places accept credit cards and may charge a surcharge.
4. Bring hydration.
5. Be aware of your belongings since we walk in crowded places.
6. If you want to withdraw cash you can tell the guide she will inform you of the places where you can change currency or withdraw cash at ATM.
