FREETOUR.com says

This Free Tour covering Hitler's Third Reich and their gradual domination of the city and beyond is a truly fascinating account of the terror inflicted as part of an incredibly evil regime. It's something we all know from history books but it's when you stand on the concrete where so many atrocities occurred and hear the tales that the significance and horror of this extreme period of history really strikes you. It is a truly valuable free tour and well-worth joining to gain a tangible insight to the Third Reich and their operations in Berlin as well as the lasting effect that so much of this relatively recent history has left on Berlin and on the psyche and collective consciousness of generations of people and we highly recommend it.

Join the only free Third Reich tour in Berlin and discover Hitler’s and his Third Reich rise to power, triumphant reign, and turbulent fall. Hear heart-wrenching tales of victims, survivors, and tales of heroes erased from history. We’ll show you some of the key institutions of the Nazi Regime, and incredibly touching Jewish memorials commemorating the horrendous 11 million victims of the Holocaust on our approximately 3-hour tour.

Please note that you need ONE SINGLE METRO TICKET on this tour.

Laci is an easy going and likeable person. At our first introduction he broke the ice immediately, which lowered the bar for interactions throughout the tour.
He took us to several spots, we wouldn't have found ourselves. What I liked best is that Laci told... read more

The closest S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations to Lustgarten are Hackescher Markt (lines S5 and S7) and Alexander Platz (lines S5, S7, U2, U5 and U8). Both of them are within 5-10 minutes walking distance from the meeting point.

If you are coming from Hackescher Markt, once you get off the S-Bahn take Burgstrasse, which becomes Spreepromenade situated along the riverbank. Walk to the middle of the square and look for our guides with light-blue T-shirts and umbrellas at the marble bowl.

Coming from Alexanderplatz take Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, pass St. Mary's Church on the left, towards Museum Island. Cross the bridge and continue to the Berliner Dom.
