On this 2-hour journey, we focus on sharing Berlin's Third Reich and Cold War history in an interesting and engaging way. All our guides are expert storytellers.
As well as bringing Berlin's history to life, we want to help you make the most out of your stay. During each tour, our guides will share tips and recommendations on their favourite places in Berlin.
We begin at the Brandenburg Gate with an overview introduction to Berlin. Continuing to the Reichstag we plot the rise of the Nazis before walking to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe to contemplate the Nazi crimes. Continuing on to the site of Hitler's bunker, we follow the downfall of the Third Reich.
Making our way to the former Air Ministry building, we dive into the post-war separation of Germany and just how different East and West were. Continuing to see a part of the Berlin Wall at the Topography of Terrors, we learn how people tried to escape East Germany. We finish our tour at Checkpoint Charlie, where we learn about how Berlin was finally reunified after 28 years of separation.
