Overview
Our Soviet Yerevan Walking Tour covers Soviet Armenian history, art, architecture, and scientific and cultural life.
It takes you to areas in the center of the city (and a bit to the south) and shows you the visible and hidden Soviet-time Armenian monuments and buildings and tells you their interesting stories.
Some of the highlights of the tour: Republic Square with some of the Soviet details remaining, a post office, Soviet Armenian statues and monuments, the Children’s Park, typical Soviet Armenian buildings and courtyards, Soviet Armenian Social Modernist (and some Brutalist) architecture and a metro ride to the train station and back to Baghramyan Avenue to the Supreme-Soviet and Polit-Buro buildings of Armenian SSR
