Overview
Discover Shinjuku, one of Tokyo’s most iconic districts.
On this free sunset tour, we’ll explore its nightlife, urban contrasts, and most iconic sights as the city transforms.
At 6:00 p.m., with the neon lights glowing, we’ll begin a 2-hour walking tour to understand how the Japanese live, work, and enjoy their free time in one of the most fascinating places in the world.
We’ll start at the East Exit of Shinjuku Station, next to the famous 3D cat. From there, we’ll head into Omoide Yokocho, a historic alleyway with a postwar Japanese atmosphere, full of small traditional shops.
We’ll continue on to Kabukicho to experience Japanese nightlife, host and hostess clubs, and learn about safety and cultural norms for exploring the area respectfully.
We’ll explore Golden Gai and visit Hanazono Shrine, a shrine nestled among neon lights that reflects the coexistence of tradition and modernity.
We’ll finish at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, where we’ll discuss life in the city and its contrasts. At the end, you’ll be able to go up to the observation deck and enjoy unforgettable night views.
