Tokyo Izakaya Night Free Tour: Eat, Drink & Explore Shinjuku
Overview
We’ll start the evening at a genuine local izakaya in Shinjuku — the kind of place where salarymen unwind after work. We’ll eat, drink, and chat together in a relaxed setting while I share stories about Japanese drinking culture, food, and everyday Tokyo life.
After dinner, we’ll take a casual stroll through some of Shinjuku’s most iconic after-dark spots:
• Golden Gai — a maze of tiny atmospheric bars loved by locals and travelers alike
• Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) — smoky yakitori stalls straight out of old Tokyo
• Kabukicho — the neon heart of Tokyo’s nightlife
This isn’t a sightseeing tour — it’s a real night out with a local friend. Come hungry, come curious, and leave with great stories.
Meeting point: Shinjuku East Exit, in front of Studio Alta.

Meet me in front of Studio Alta at Shinjuku East Exit — it’s the big screen building you can’t miss. I’ll be standing near the entrance. Take the East Exit from Shinjuku Station and Studio Alta is right in front of you.

This is a real Tokyo night out, not a walking tour! We’ll start with dinner and drinks at a local Izakaya, then I’ll show you around Shinjuku’s iconic nightlife scene — host clubs, neon streets, Golden Gai, and more. Just come with curiosity and an open mind. Food and drinks are at your own expense. Let me know in advance if you have any questions!
