Free Tour of Asakusa: The Traditional Heart of Tokyo
Overview
We’ll visit the iconic Senso-ji Temple and the Asakusa Shrine, learn about Japanese rituals and beliefs, and stroll down the famous Nakamise-dori with its traditional shops. The tour continues along Hoppy Street, a symbol of working-class Tokyo, to see how ancient traditions coexist with modern life.

- Sensō-ji
- Shin-Nakamise Shopping Street
- Azuma Bridge
- Asakusa Shrine
On arrival
Meeting Point:
We'll meet at the entrance to Starbucks (Kaminarimon Gate at Senso-ji Temple). We'll be there holding a HIKARI TOURS banner.
I recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early so we can start on time.
