Overview of the tour in Santiago de Compostela
During the tour, besides learning all about the gastronomic influences of Galician food, as well as the importance of the raw material in the local cuisine, we will approach some of the most beautiful viewpoints in the area, such as the church of San Pedro.
We will walk to the Hortas urbanas, a perfect place to discover the cultivation of some of the essential foods in Galician food. We will stop at the Arco de Mazarelos, in the heart of the old town of Santiago de Compostela. Located in one of the most famous tapas areas of the city, we will be able to observe the traditional medieval taverns and century-old houses.
We will continue to the University Square, where the favorite pinchos of students and many Compostelanos are located. Nearby we will find one of the most important gastronomic points of Santiago, the Mercado de Abastos, our last stop, we will open our mouths with the stalls of fresh fish, fruits, vegetables, and sweets.
Our visit will end at this point after two hours of sightseeing, but those of you who cannot resist succumbing to the delicious enxebre food, you can stay for lunch at the market on your own.
