Women of Rome
Overview of the tour in Rome
Let's talk about Roman women
Great unknown and great silenced, women in the history of Rome were also important characters to understand its political, ideological and social changes. This tour, by Women of Rome, aims to retrace, on a chronological level, the great characters of the history of Rome. From the mythological and religious figures of the Silence, such as Tacita Muta and Angerona, to Romulus' wife, Hersilia, to the last great Imperial women, such as Livia or Agrippina. Between mythology, religious cults, politics and society we will build a female social context of ancient Greece.
March 8th is the perfect day to start this journey with a feminine perspective, to pay tribute to all those women who have been defamed, denigrated and not studied by history, to change that concept of Femme Fatale that we have built to all those who tried to fight in a man's world. For all of them!
