Tour Teotihuacán Mythical city & Secrets Murals
Overview
This activity is specially designed to showcase the most famous sites in Teotihuacan, as well as a place that 98% of visitors miss.
The tour begins with a visit to the Pyramid of the Moon, where you'll discover the myths surrounding this ancient city. There will be time to climb and take the best photos without large crowds.
Afterward, you'll walk along the Avenue of the Dead and see the impressive Pyramid of the Sun. We'll discuss archaeological discoveries throughout history. Our transportation will minimize walking distances to avoid the sun.
You'll visit a residential complex with remarkably well-preserved murals. You'll have a quiet space to understand the lifestyle of this pre-Hispanic civilization.
Finally, you'll see the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and a local artisan will show you the plant-based pigments used to color the murals and how they are obtained. We'll see the majestic heads of the feathered serpent and discuss the Tlalocan project.
