Things to note
Recommendations (Please read carefully!!!):
The walk: The tour involves a 60-90 minute walk to the top of the Cerro de la Estrella. The path is not very steep, paved, and in good condition; however, the uphill walk involves a level of physical effort that might not be suited for everyone, especially people with medical conditions, mobility issues, or small children. If walking is not your thing, you can still join us for the private guided museum part of the tour!
Clothing: Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended. Bring something to protect you from the sun.
Water: Bring at least one bottle of water. Some like to bring snacks like energy bars, etc. There are no shops inside the national park, but there is one by the entrance.
Transport: The best way to get to the Cerro de la Estrella site is by metro. The meeting place is in Cerro de la Estrella station of metro line 8 (dark green), which is about a 40-minute ride from the city center (Bellas Artes station). If you are coming from another part of the city, Line 8 offers multiple connections with other lines that might suit you better. To use the metro, you will need a public transport card and the fee for the fare (5 pesos per trip).
Cash: The entrance to both the museum, park, and the archaeological site is free of charge. But it might be a good idea to bring some if you need to buy something.
