Overview

Join us for a walking tour along Paseo de Montejo, led by local guides who will share the history and key landmarks of this emblematic avenue in Mérida.

The tour begins at the Monument to Montejo and Son, an important point for understanding the city’s origins. We then continue to the Twin Houses, two residences known for their symmetry and presence within the urban landscape. Our route moves on to the Monument to Felipe Carrillo Puerto, where you will learn about the life and legacy of a central figure in Yucatán’s history. A little farther ahead is El Minaret Mansion, a distinctive site recognized for its design and unique tower.

The tour includes a stop at the Museum of Anthropology, offering insight into the region’s cultural heritage, as well as a visit to Quinta Montes Molina. This historic residence preserves the atmosphere of Mérida’s past. We will then head toward the Monument to Justo Sierra and finish at the Monument to the Fatherland, one of the most recognized symbols of Paseo de Montejo.

A well-paced walk designed to help you discover the city with context, local guidance, and a comprehensive view of its heritage.
