At the appointed time, we will meet at the San Javier metro station and, once we are all there, we will venture into the heart of Comuna 13
First, we will take advantage of our meeting point to board the Metrocable, Medellín's urban cable car, for a pleasant round-trip of about 15 minutes.
While admiring the beautiful panoramic views from above, we'll explain the importance of this public transportation system. After getting off the Metrocable, we'll board a bus that will take us to the area where the commune's popular murals and graffiti are located.
Throughout the tour, we'll tell you the story of the social transformation of Comuna 13, marked by armed conflict and violence. Each piece of graffiti speaks of that past and the importance of art as a primary form of expression. You will learn all about the leaders and organizations that have fostered change.
Next, we'll stop at an ice cream shop, where we'll enjoy a tasting of maracumango, a delicious dessert that combines passion fruit and mango.
Finally, we will say goodbye at the starting point after a total of three hours of travel.
