Things to note
Sun & weather protection: pack high-SPF sun cream, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. If traveling during the monsoon season, carrying a compact raincoat or sturdy umbrella is essential.
Footwear: wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers suitable for cobblestone streets and climbing steps at heritage sites.
Photography & sacred etiquette: always look for posted signage inside ancient temples. Photography is forbidden in designated sacred areas, shrines, and courtyards. Please strictly follow all local guidelines out of respect for active religious practices.
Entry fee: The entry fee for Bhaktapur Durbar Square is not included, so travelers must manage the entry fee themselves.
Smoking and drinks: It is not allowed to smoke inside the forest during hiking, but you can drink.
