He has been organizing Free Walking Tour Kathmandu which goes from the heart of bustling market in Thamel. We will show you the local typical Newari local area, ancient stupas, temples, monasteries. We will explain you the history, culture and all about the iconography that we see on the way. The significant thing is that you could get an opportunity to witness the local ritual activities. Newar people, in Kathmandu have many feasts and festivals, and one can get chance to experience and interact with them.
Free Walking Tour Kathmandu begins from the outer gate of Garden of Dreams, Thamel. This takes about 3 - 4 hours, depends on your pace. We cover the two Heritage Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Monkey Temple. One should pay entrance fees yourself through this is all free of cost. This free tour is based on gratuity modal so if you like the tour you could reward the guide for his experience and time.

On arrival
Anyone from Thamel can walk about 15 minutes east. There is a Garden of Dreams encircled by a high wall. The meeting point is the outer (Front) gate of the garden. The tour begins promptly at 9:00 am in the morning and the second tour at 3:00 pm in the afternoon from the same place.
Things to note
Free Walking Tour is a completely walking tour through the busy market, local area and towards west to the Monkey Temple. If you are not habituated to walk or if there are little kids with stroller,old aged, sick people or physically disabled, please let us know, we can shorten the route or manage accordingly.
The next thing please ask the guide to take pictures in some ritual activities taken places, so the guide will talk to the local and manage it.
Please walk around the temple and stupas clockwise.
Please make a distance while taking picture of monkeys especially of baby monkeys at the Monkey Temple.
