
Hiroshima Peace Park Guided Walk
Overview
As a local guide, I will share historical facts, personal stories, and reflections to help you better understand the impact of the atomic bombing and the resilience of Hiroshima’s people. This is more than a history tour — it’s a human experience that invites connection and peace.
This tour is perfect for solo travelers, students, or families who want to explore the city in a respectful and meaningful way. The walking distance is short and suitable for all ages.

- Hiroshima Victims Memorial Cenotaph
- Children's Peace Monument
- Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima
- Cenotaph erected by volunteers of former executives and employees of Hiroshima Prefecture Chiho Lumb
On arrival
Please meet at the front of the Atomic Bomb Dome, at the riverside. From there, we will start walking and visit this quiet memorial spot first
From Hiroshima Station (for tourists coming by train):
Take the streetcar (tram) from Hiroshima Station:
Board Tram Line #2 (bound for Miyajima-guchi) or
Tram Line #6 (bound for Eba)
Get off at Genbaku Dome-mae (Atomic Bomb Dome) Station.
From there, it's a 2-minute walk to the park.
Walking Directions from Genbaku Dome-mae Station:
After getting off the tram, cross the street toward the Atomic Bomb Dome.
Facing the Dome, turn slightly left and walk along the Motoyasu River path.
You’ll soon see a small stone monument with Japanese writing, the Chiho Lumber Company Cenotaph.
It’s before the Peace Bell, near the river, and typically quiet, without a crowd.
