Overview
We are Sofia and George, the two locals who grew up in Hanoi for most of our lives and have a deep love for this special city. Our goal is to share with everyone the vibrant life, interesting stories,s and hidden gems of Hanoi from a local perspective.
What to expect:
Hanoi is blended by ancient roots, French colonial influence, and a rapid economic boom in the late 80s. This walking tour offers you to see the differences between the adjacent, neatly street in the French Quarter and the unorganized and narrow streets in the Old Quarter. We begin our journey by seeing French colonial sites like the State Bank of Vietnam, Tonkin Palace, and Opera House.
We then continue to Hoan Kiem Lake, to hear a legendary story and what makes it become the special one. Then we are heading up towards the old quarter, exploring the busy street, to learn what makes it so special among the locals and tourists. At the end of the tour, we stop at Long Bien Bridge, the most iconic one of Hanoi, which has stood there for more than 120 years.
