Overview of the tour in Cusco

Beginning of the Tour: 8:30 am approx

We’ll start our Maras Moray & Picnic with Llamas adventure at 8:30 AM, picking you up from your Cusco hotel. Our first stop is Chinchero, where you’ll explore the region’s vibrant textile culture at a unique textile complex, learn about traditional weaving, and discover local customs.

By 10:30 AM, we’ll head to Moray, an intriguing archaeological site known for its concentric terraces used by the Incas to experiment with different crops. Marvel at the impressive structures and learn about their innovative agricultural methods.

We’ll visit the Maras Salt Mines at noon, 3,380 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll see thousands of salt pools traditionally harvested using ancient techniques, while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Around 12:30 PM, we’ll enjoy a private picnic in a scenic location, complete with llamas and breathtaking views, then we’ll return to Cusco at 2:00 PM, arriving by 3:30 PM. Reflect on the unforgettable memories of the Maras and Moray half-day tour and the stunning Andean landscapes we explored.
