Overview of the tour in Cusco

Come walk the streets of the historic former capital city of the Inca Empire. On this tour you’ll explore the quirky, history packed streets and alleyways of Cusco with a local guide born and raised in the city. Highlights include a visit to the Cathedral in the main square and to the Incan Temple of the Sun-Qoricancha. Built by the Spanish on top of a former Incan palace, the Cathedral houses the city’s greatest collection of colonial art. Qoricancha contains well preserved ruins of Incan masonry and stonework. Your guide will also show you many sites along the charming streets of Cusco as you walk, and you will tour San Pedro Market-the oldest market in Cusco-which gives you an authentic look at local food, textiles and products on display.

Things to note

This is a walking tour-it requires walking over uneven surfaces and some uphill/downhill. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The weather in Cusco can be quite changeable-please be prepared for rain and/or sun with a poncho, umbrella, sunglasses/hat.
