Overview of the tour in Budapest

Dive into the rich culture and history of Buda. As a historian, I'll guide you through the most iconic sights of the city! From Battyhány Square throught the Buda Castle to the Chainbridge (and many more) - we will see together those places, and I'll tell you the most interesting stories about them!

We can have a break in one of the oldest confectionery shops in Budapest, sit a bit on the coast of the Danube River, or eat some traditional food in a Hungarian restaurant.

If besides pure sightseeing you're interested in history, good food, and/or interesting facts about the place you visit, this trip is for you!

I can speak English, Polish, and Hungarian.

IMPORTANT: To start the hike, a minimum of 4 participants is required.

On arrival

Every tour starts from Batthyány Square where I'll wait in front of Ferenc Kölcsey's statue. When everyone has arrived, we start our tour together. You can reach Batthyány Square by Metro 2 (red line) from both Széll Kálmán and Deák Ferenc Squares.

Things to note

Please remember, that this is a walking tour. Booking for this tour is essential. Since we'll walk quite a distance, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring only the most necessary things (e.g. bottled water) with you.

As a Free Tour, you're free to pay what you feel the tour was worth. All the tips are appreciated, however, it is your own decision!

Please note that this tour is only available to individual travelers & groups of a maximum of 4 people on a voluntary-tip-basis. Groups of 5+ people will incur a basic set fee.

All the trips must be booked 72 hours in advance.
