On arrival
I’ll be greeting you right at the South Gate of Jingshan Park (directly across the street from the Forbidden City’s North Exit). Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure an on-time start. We highly recommend leaving early to avoid frequently unpredictable road closures or congestion.
• Metro
Metro is your best option for reliable travel times. Take Line 8 to National Art Museum Station (Chinese: 美术馆站). From there, it’s a 1 km walk to the South Gate.
• Taxi / Didi
Vehicles cannot drop passengers directly at the meeting point or the immediate surrounding streets. Please set "Beijing Shudu Hotel" (Chinese: 北京蜀都宾馆) as your destination instead. It is a 500-meter walk from there.

Our extremely limited small-group spots are intentionally reserved for historical & modern storytelling lover. Please only book with a confirmed schedule to avoid holding up seats.
• Smart Pacing
Perfect for a long day of exploring or dealing with jet lag! We intentionally keep it to a fluff-free 1 hour and 50 minutes, covering a gentle 2.5-kilometer walk.
• Families & Mobility
While families are warmly welcome, please note this tour involves gentle climbing steps at Jingshan Peak. It is best suited for ages 4+; strollers are not recommended due to historic uneven paths.
How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Cancellation policy
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
