You’ll learn how the original 7.8-kilometer spine grew from 3.8km in the 13th century to its final Ming Dynasty form, and how it continues to shape Beijing today.
You will fully experience the 15 Heritage Sites – From the Bell and Drum Towers in the north to Yongding Gate in the south, including the Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven. You will learn about the wisdom of Chinese ancint city Planning.
Hands-On History – View Qing Dynasty brick rubbings with kiln markings (ancient quality control!), the 1912 Abdication Edict, and traditional “grounding craft” wood-preservation tools.
