Royal Warsaw Free Tour: History, Life & Local Secrets
Overview
In this 1h30 free tour we will walk together through the old town in a close and entertaining way, without boring stuff. We will see the Castle Square and the Royal Castle, the narrow streets of the Old Town, the famous Little Mermaid, the medieval walls and the Barbican. The highlight of the tour: the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where we will witness live the changing of the guard for FREE, one of the most emotional rituals in Poland.
My style is direct and humorous: I tell the story with surprising facts, real anecdotes and references to current life in Poland. I am young, but I have been training as a guide for years and I take very seriously that you leave the tour wanting to stay more days in Warsaw.
At the end I give you my personal recommendations for bars, Polish food and local plans. The tour is at will: you decide how much it costs.
This activity includes:

On arrival
We are located next to Sigismund's Column, in the Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy). It is the tall column with a golden statue on top, right in front of the main entrance to the Royal Castle. It is impossible to miss.
Things to note
The tour takes place outdoors, so comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. In case of rain the tour will still take place, so bring an umbrella or raincoat if the weather is bad. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier takes place every hour on the hour, so it is important to arrive at the meeting point on time. The tour is at will: you decide how much it is worth at the end.
