My name is Borja Concheiro, and I was born and raised in Vigo. I'm so passionate about my hometown and Galician culture, and for the last two years, I have shown Vigo to visitors. During this customized walking tour you will discover the best of the new and old Vigo.

I'll share with you great tips and some of the best plans to do in the city and surroundings while also advising you on Galician incredible cuisine and the best local spots to enjoy it.

We will meet in the heart of Vigo and then do a circular route discovering the best of new/old Vigo. We'll stop in an almost secret fortress that is the perfect spot to understand Vigo's close relationship with the sea, enjoy excellent views and begin to know about local history and legends. Then some well-known and also hidden corners inside the old town called "casco vello", and finally the port, where some historical events will blow your mind.

We'll meet at "El Sireno", an iconic man-mermaid sculpture located right at the heart of the city in Puerta del Sol square. It's easy to get there and everyone knows where it is because this is the place where people from Vigo gathers and the truly best meeting point to start discovering the city and its treasures.

Best way to get there is on foot, bus (stop right in front) or taxi. If you come by car the best option is to park in Policarpo Sanz Garage which has low prices and great facilities just 2-3 minutes walking distance from the meeting point.
