Overview

Welcome to Vigo!

I propose a friendly 2-hour guided tour to discover the history, traditions and secrets of Galicia's largest city with an official local guide.

We'll start at the Plaza de Compostela, the elegant tree-lined promenade of the city center, before entering the Casco Vello, the historic quarter with its charming alleyways. We'll pass through the Plaza de la Princesa, admire the famous Sireno and talk about the evolution of Vigo, its port and its close ties with the ocean.

Along the way, I'll share anecdotes, curiosities and local legends. We'll also discover Monte do Castro, the birthplace of the city, with the option of climbing up to San Sebastián Castle to enjoy a magnificent panorama of the ria (optional extra time).

We'll continue on to the Plaza de la Constitución, the Berbés district, Vigo's ancient maritime heart, then the Mercado da Pedra, before finishing at the Náutico overlooking the ria.

At the end of the tour, I'll accompany you to an emblematic bar overlooking the ria, where you can enjoy a drink and tapa at a special rate.

On arrival

The meeting point is at the large central fountain in the Plaza de Compostela (Alameda de Vigo).

The fountain is located in the middle of the garden, in the dirt part of the square. It's the most visible monument on the Alameda, and very easy to spot.

I'll be there a few minutes before the tour begins. If you have any trouble finding me, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Address: Plaza de Compostela, Vigo.

Things to note

Useful information

- The tour is easy and accessible to all. However, Vigo is built on several hills, so we'll encounter a few ups and downs along the way.

- Bring comfortable shoes suitable for walking.

- In summer or on sunny days, remember to bring a cap, sun cream and water.

- If the weather forecast calls for rain or cool temperatures, don't forget an umbrella or light jacket.

- Please arrive about 15 minutes before the tour starts, so that we can start on time.

- For easy recognition, I'll be wearing a small flag corresponding to the language of your visit.
