Valencia was founded by the Romans in the year 138 before Christ, and for generations, numerous civilizations have lived like the Visigoths, Christians or Muslims. These civilizations have left their mark on numerous buildings that are still preserved and have even influenced in the culture, music and language.
In the year 1001 with the death of the Cid Campeador, Valencia became part of the Muslim dynasty until 1238, when the King of Aragon Jaime I reconquered Valencia, and Valencia became part of the Crown of Aragon, leading to the birth of the Kingdom of Valencia.
