Thessaloniki Like a Local Free Tour
Overview
We’ll kick things off at the old city walls with incredible views of the city, then wander past ancient ruins, the epic Rotunda, and Galerius’ Palace, yep, Romans were here too.
Next stop? The White Tower and a walk by the sea. I’ll show you local hangouts, street music corners, and those spots you won’t find on Google.
We’ll dive into the small alleys of Aristotelous Square, explore the crazy, colorful local markets like Kapani and Athonos, smell spices, and maybe meet a few local characters. There’s even a hidden Ottoman market (Bezesteni) waiting for you.
We’ll finish at the flower market.

The meeting point will be at Konstantinou Melenikou 13.
You have to reach Kamara. Kamara is close to the Sintrivani metro stop and the Kamara bus stop (01x,2k,10,31,14, and more buses). Then follow the old walls. There you can easily find us :)
Things to note
Bring a reusable bottle with you. Water in Greece is relatively inexpensive, but locating public fountains can be challenging. Don’t worry, though, you’ll be able to refill for free along the way. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes; this is a city walk that takes you through hidden streets and local markets. One of the best parts of this walk is meeting real locals. In the markets, we’ll meet shop owners who’ve been there for decades, keeping family traditions alive.
