Overview of the tour in Tbilisi
Today you will travel along the famous Georgian military road (208 km). Here passes the great Caucasus range. You will see the beautiful nature and landscapes.
The Georgian military road is one of the most beautiful roads in the Caucasus, connecting Georgia with Russia.
This is a real historical route, which has long been popular with travelers and tourists. A lot of poems and poems written under the impression of local beauty!
40 km from Tbilisi is the village of Zhinvali, where everything stops to capture the incredible beauty of The Zhinvali reservoir: a huge bowl of turquoise water among the green mountains and blue sky.
On the northern shore of the reservoir rises Ananuri fortress (XV century) - one of the greatest monuments of Georgian architecture of the late Middle Ages.
The last stop in Stepantsminda ( Kazbegi, 1700 m) is the administrative center of the region, the main attraction of which is mount Kazbek itself and the temple in the village of Gergeti – Gergeti Church of the Holy Trinity ( Gergeti Tsminda Sameba, XIV century, 2170 m above sea level) – the only temple of this type in Kazbegi district.
Return to Tbilisi. Drop-off at your hotel.

Things to note
You will need comfortable shoes.
Ladies require scarves in the Georgian orthodox churches, sometimes skirts too, but they can find some in the entrances.
Short trousers are forbidden in the church.
You can bring along: sun cream, hat, rain, and wind coats.
