Overview
We will meet at 09:30 in the lobby of the Uzbekistan Hotel. We will start our tour at Amir Timur Square, where we will admire the imposing statue of Tamerlane and its surroundings. We will continue along Tashkent's Broadway until we reach the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Romanov Palace, and Independence Square, which for almost 70 years was known as Lenin Square. Then, we will enter the Tashkent Metro, known for its beauty and architecture.
Next, we will tour the colorful "Chorsu" bazaar, which is full of spices, handicrafts, textiles, and fresh fruits. We will visit the Old City, a picturesque neighborhood with narrow streets and traditional adobe houses. We will head to the Juma Mosque, a peaceful place where you can relax and listen to the call to prayer; some say the carpets are so soft that they invite you to fall asleep. In addition, we will visit a secret square with the 5 "M-s," an enigma that you will reveal when you meet us in Tashkent! The capital of Uzbekistan is full of architectural surprises: from ancient madrasas and Soviet monuments to modern buildings - there is something for everyone!
