Overview of the tour in Sofia

Day 1: Sofia – arrival. Private transfer and check in at the hotel.
Day 2: Departure from Sofia to Veliko Turnovo. Appr. 4 hours, 250 km.Overnight in Arbanassi museum village.
Possible visits nearby: Transfiguration, Petropavlovski Monasteries, etc.
Day 3: Departure from Veliko Turnovo to Kazanluk. Possible stops en route: Drianovo and Sokolski Monasteries, Triavna museum town, Bojentsi village architectural reserve, Etura Ethnographic complex, Shipka memorial peak, monument, church. Overnight in Kazanluk.
Approx mil. 120 - 170 km, depending on the interest to visit different sites.
Day 4: Kazanluk – Plovdiv. Visits in Kazanluk: the Thracian tombs, possible tasting of essential oils or rose products. Visits in Plovdiv. Approx. mil: 110 km
Day 5: Plovdiv – Velingrad (about 80km). Accommodation at a 4* hotel. Time to enjoy the spa facilities of the hotel:use of swimming pool, steam bath, sauna, Jacuzzi, fitness included.
Day 6: Velingrad: Free time
Day 7: Velingrad: free time. Departure to Sofia. Approx mil.: 140 km
Day 8: Day in Sofia with possible trip to Rila Monastery and/ or Melnik museum town (120-190 km depending on the visit)
Day 9: Departure & car drop off at the airport

Self-drive tour, which starts from Sofia. You will be met on the airport and transferred to the hotel upon arrival.
There is a suggested itinerary for the rest of the days, which can be modified according your preferences and interests.
