The meeting point is behind St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, in front of La Cathedral Restaurant at 9:00 A.M.
Plovdiv is the second largest in Bulgaria and one of the oldest towns in the world. Within the hours long walk in Plovdiv you will discover the history and the culture of the 6000-year-old settlement, written during the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Bulgarian periods.
You will enjoy sight-seeing in the Old Town with its museums, churches, historical monuments, revival period houses, souvenir shops, and cobbled streets. You will be impressed by the Ethnographic Museum and the ancient Roman Theater. You will see amazing views from the top of "Nebet" hill and walk through the town's pedestrian street- the longest in Europe.
After the tour you will have about 2 more hours of free time for lunch. The expected return to Sofia is at about 5-5;30 pm.
