Overview of the tour in Sofia

Day 1: Sofia – arrival. Transfer & check in at a 3* central hotel.
Day 2: Sofia – Veliko Turnovo – Arbanassi museum village (about 250 km)
Car delivery after breakfast and departure to Veliko Turnovo – the mediaeval capital city of Bulgaria, located on 4 hills. Overnight in Arbanassi museum village, located close to Veliko Turnovo. Visits in Veliko Turnovo, the monasteries nearby: Transfiguration, Petropavlovski, etc.
Day 3: Day in the area:appr. mil. 50–80 km, depending on the interest to visit different sites. To Drianovo monastery, Triavna museum town, Bojentsi museum village. Overnight in Arbanassi.
Day 4: Arbanassi - Shipka mountain pass - Kazanluk – Plovdiv. (220 - 240 km).En route possible stop to Etura Open Air Ethnographic complex. Visits and overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 5: Plovdiv - Koprivshtitsa museum town (90 km) Overnight in Koprivshtitsa.
Day 6: Koprivshtitsa – Sofia (appr mileage: 110 km.) Day in Koprivshtitsa for visits. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 7: Day in Sofia with possible trip to Rila Monastery and/ or Melnik museum town ( the smallest in Bulgaria, where wine tasting is possible ).
(about 120 - 190 km.per way). Overnight in Sofia.
Day 8: Free time & departure

On arrival

The tour starts from Sofia Airport, where you will be met by representative of ours.
On the second day car is delivered at the hotel and then you can continue the tour according the suggested itinerary above or modify it according your interests. Accommodation is booked in the hotels mentioned above on BB basis.

Things to note

Above quoted rates are valid in case of hire of economy car, per person in double room. We can offer also other types of cars on the following package rates:

Package price per person: 395 Euro for intermediate car
Package price per person: 405 Euro for standard car

*Rates are not valid for accommodation in Plovdiv during the annual fairs: please check Kazanluk during the Festival of Roses ( 02-05 June 2017)

Description of different types of car:
Economic car: VW Polo, Ford Fiesta
Intermediate car: Ford Focus, Toyota Auris
Standard car: Toyota Corolla, Toyota Avensis, Ford Mondeo

Deposit: 200 - 300 euro per car (to be blocked on credit card, refundable in the end of the tour)

Full insurances of the rented car include: Third Party Liability /TPL/, Collision Damage Waiver /CDW/, Theft Protection /TP/, Fire Protection /FP/, Personal Accident Insurance /PAI/;
