Overview

The Chilean capital is today a modern and vibrant metropolis full of life on its vivid and bustling streets. Flanked on one side by the outstanding Andes and the picturesque Coastal range on the other, the city has a unique natural background. Santiago is a dynamic city where colonial mansions sit among soaring skyscrapers.

The tour highlights the oldest and most central areas of downtown Santiago. Our walk will be conducted in chronological order, which will allow you to understand the origins of the city, and its urban expansion over the past 200 years, where Santiago transformed from town to the spectacular city.
The itinerary includes the Cerro Santa Lucía Hill, where the city was founded in 1541, the gorgeous Plaza de Armas square, La Moneda, which is the current Presidential Palace. Also, we will enjoy the beautiful architecture of the Supreme Court building, the former Congress building and explore the captivating flavor and tone of the local Central Market.

On arrival

Meeting point: Bellas Artes Metro station (Line 5, Green Line).
If you're located in an hotel uptown, just take the Metro in any station that belongs to Line 1 (Red Line) and then move to Line 5 (Green Line) towards Bellas Artes station at the station that is called Baquedano, which connects Line 1 (Red Line) to Line 5 (Green Line).
If you're located in a downtown hotel, just walk towards the same Metro station.
